Spiritual Leadership for Challenging Times
June 7, 2014 conference at The Catholic University of America (CUA)
Co-sponsored by Solidarity with Sisters and CUA's Institute for Policy Research and Catholic Studies

It was an amazing day. A perfect Eve of Pentecost. The Holy Spirit is alive in Spiritual Leadership for Challenging Times. We explored this deeply powerful way of leading, practiced what we learned, and left with a next step toward a vision. This happened because of:
- wise, insightful, funny, engaging, superb speakers who shared a wealth of personal experience in spiritual leadership: Sisters Pat Farrell, Mary Hughes, Helen Maher Garvey, and Marie McCarthy, and
- the 200 participants who completely filled the room and shared their own wisdom.

What is Spiritual Leadership? You can learn as we did -- Watch the conference videos below!
Four esteemed, proven leaders among Catholic sisters give an overview and very practical examples of a radically different way of leading that's collaborative, community-based, contemplative, and hopeful. Women religious have been using it for transformation for the past 50 years.

- Small-group reflection questions, using Deep Listening: Think about a challenge you face in your particular leadership role or area of responsibility. As you have been listening today, what is emerging that might help you engage with this challenge differently?
- Final reflection question: Can I identify one way in which I can use this way of leading in my community or workplace?
