The coordinating team for Solidarity with Sisters is an informal group of lay Catholics. Our goal (in the words of LCWR past president Sister Pat Farrell, OSF) is "to go forward with truthfulness and integrity, in a way that contributes to the good of religious life everywhere and to the healing of the fractured Church we so love." Some of our actions are public, others are quiet.
The group began to support LCWR and Catholic sisters in response to the Vatican's mandate for three bishops to take control of LCWR. We focus on the gospel values that animate LCWR and Catholic sisters. We stand up for, and walk with, LCWR, praying for and open to the Spirit's guidance.
